Show up sharp.

A street team is not a protest and it is not a photo op. It is a small group of people who arrive on time, in matching shirts, do a clean piece of work in public, and leave the place better than they found it. Kids notice that. They remember it longer than a speech.

The current mission is Campaign 01 — Huron Valley. Read the campaign page before you work it, so you can say out loud which parts are documented and which parts are allegations.

The standard

Five rules, every mission

Look the part. Team shirt, closed shoes, name tag. No slogans that aren't ours.
One captain. One person speaks to police, press, and staff. Everyone else keeps working.
Never alone. Pairs minimum, always in sight of another pair.
De-escalate and leave. If it turns hostile, the mission ends. We do not win arguments on the street.
Leave it cleaner. Every mission ends with the site better than we found it, including our own trash.

I would be working around children or minors. If so, the team needs a background check on file before you are scheduled. That is not optional.

The consent rule

We photograph the work, not the people we serve. Nobody receiving help is photographed identifiably without asking first, in words, in the moment. No child is photographed identifiably without a parent or guardian signing for it — not a nod, a signature. If you are not sure, shoot wide, shoot from behind, or don't shoot.
